Every year we buy thousands of Squirrel Skins for our dubbing. Only the very best are selected to be soft tanned. Very popular for nymph tails or to blend your own dubbing.

Squirrel Zonkers The Squirrel Zonkers are naturally barred. Excellent for use on matukas, zonkers, and streamers. Each strip is approximately 1/10" wide with 2 feet per package. SS4220 is a full Natural Fox Squirrel skin pre-cut into thin zonkers.

Streamer Hair The fine texture of Streamer Hair is perfect for small to x-large streamers and tails. This 6 to 8 inch natural wool breathes like marabou.

Use Sculpin Wool in place of deer hair for sculpin-type sinking flies. Soft tanned.

Misc. Hair
  • Antelope hair is very hollow. Use for Serendipity's.

  • Black Bear is a must for traditional tyers. Obtained legally. Limited availability.

  • Caribou is very light weight and is excellent for mice patterns.

  • Coyote is great for hair wings and contains interesting markings.

  • A few hairs of Moose Body make a great stiff tail for dry flies.

  • Wrap Moose Mane like a quill for dry fly body building. This hair is very long and loose.

  • Moose Hock is an extremely versatile material. It is perfect for tails on large dry flies
    such as drakes and isonychia. Makes a super quill body on spinners, emergers, and midges.

  • Badger hair is well marked for streamer wings and saltwater collars.

  • The beautiful barred guard hairs of Woodchuck work great for streamer wings.

Misc. Dubbing Fur on the Skin
  • Austrailian Opossum is one of the buggiest furs and is easy to dub.

  • The natural warm gray underfur of Beaver is great for small dry flies.

  • Muskrat Belly contains less guard hair than the back. Great for casual dress.

  • Muskrat Back is the original. It is Adams Gray in color.

  • Opossum is a naturally white fur. Great substitute for soft seal.

  • Nutria is similar to muskrat but is darker with longer guard hairs.
